Welcome to the latest episode of the MOTION PICTURES podcast.

Your hosts, Tony Black & Carl Sweeney, on the eve of Christopher Nolan's TENET arriving in cinemas, discuss one of the lesser remembered films in his canon - 2002's INSOMNIA.

Starring Al Pacino and Robin Williams as a troubled cop and serial killer respectively, Nolan's second feature is an interesting film - it has aspects of his technique and style but remains definitively unique as the only studio film he didn't create from the ground up.

Where does it sit in the Nolan canon? Is it an important film in the development of one of cinema's most divisive auteurs? And how did Nolan evolve beyond Insomnia over the two decades to the point Tenet is upon us?
