National Changes for Cannabis, with Former Mayor Willie Brown
Willie Brown is the former Mayor of San Francisco and one of the leading Democratic figures for more than a generation. He is also the former president of Harborside, the first and largest marijuana dispensary in California. Now, fifteen states have legal adult use of marijuana and thirty-two states have the use of medical marijuana. Still, it is prohibited on the federal level as a Schedule One drug. Mr. Brown offers a perspective on what the MORE Act and the Safe Banking Act. These are key pieces of legislature that will help the industry manage commerce and it will allow consumer spending with credit cards. Catch the signposts to the future from a voice of experience. Change is certain.

The MORE Act vote by the House of Representatives to Decriminalize Pot
Morgan Fox joins us from the National Cannabis Industry Association. The House of Representative recently passed the MORE Act (or the, Marijuana Opportunity, Reinvestment & Expungement Act). This is to decriminalize on the federal level and to de-schedule cannabis, provide for reinvestment in certain persons adversely impacted by the War on Drugs, provide for expungement of certain cannabis offenses, and for other purposes.

Alfredo Pascual is the International Analyst at Marijuana Business Daily, specializing in European and Latin American cannabis markets. The United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs decided to accept one of the World Health Organization recommendations to remove cannabis from Schedule 4 of the 1961 Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs. This means that marijuana is no longer considered to be as dangerous as other substances in Schedule 4 of international drug control because it does have some medical utility.

What could the MORE Act means to Racial Minorities Who Have Higher Rates of COVID?
Pamela Moore is VP of Publishing for Marijuana Business Daily. She talks to us about how passage of the MORE Act can influence social justice. Many people of color fill essential job such as refuge removal and feats of physical labor and they cannot remain at home during lockdown. This puts them on the front line while many are huddled together in shared housing conditions. Vaccine relief and effective legislation many ameliorate the plight of many of effected Americans in this trying and transitional time.
