WIth this caveat...running to progressive Christianity is also problematic for its own reasons.

Hearing this speaker declare his deconstruction is to the church and not Jesus Christ is encouraging. Usually, when we hear about deconstruction, it is about throwing off all faith and often, the reasons are flimsy. Throwing off church and keeping Christ appears to show someone who has asked and sought answers. Throwing it all off sometimes appears to be a reason to continue to live a life as one wants outside of scripture. I know this is a generality, but it appears to be how this plays out.
