What will happen with XRP as the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Jay Clayton leaves his role at the end of this year. Clayton has not given clarity to Ripple on if XRP is a security, but as he leaves will someone more crypto friendly become chairman such as Hester Pierce or Gary Gensler? Both Congressman Tom Emmer and Former CFTC Chris Giancarlo have said XRP is not a security.
