The Division’s oil and gas professionals provide technical support for all oil and natural gas energy resources for Indian Tribes located in the lower 48 states. The program provides integrated geophysical, geological, engineering, and economic analysis services to Tribes with oil and natural gas resources on their lands. These services include:
The collection and interpretation of geologic and geophysical data sets, such as well logs, cores, geochemical data, and 2D and 3D seismic data
In-depth oil and gas lease or IMDA reviews using engineering, geologic and economic analyses
Marketing or promotional assistance, which includes preparing and showcasing prospect brochures or technical posters at oil and gas expos
Networking, functioning as liaison between Indian Tribes and Industry
