Homeschooling in the Military
Here in the United States, citizens are free to worship the Lord. They are free to express themselves and free to homeschool our children. America is a free society and this is due in no small part to the major sacrifices of the men and women in the armed services. But along with the sacrifice of military member themselves, is the sacrifice of their families.  Families must move around a lot, deal with extended periods away from the military member during deployments, not seeing their own extended families as much and so much more.   So it is good to see that the military is given the opportunity to enjoy the privileges of the rest of us including the opportunity to homeschool their own children.  Today our guest is Nicole McGhee, a military spouse and homeschooling mother of three boys. She is going to talk to us about homeschooling in the military whether home or abroad.

Nicole McGhee married her high school sweetheart nearly 11 years ago and became an Army wife just a short time later.  Together, they have three sons in grades five, first, and preschool.  They have been homeschooling from the start.  Having moved and homeschooled in three different states, Nicole uses her blog to encourage military families to choose homeschooling for their families.  She also moderates various social media outlets to connect with other military homeschooling families.  When not busy schooling, blogging, or chasing after three very busy boys, Nicole is an active volunteer in the community.    You can also follow along with her homeschool journey on her blog, Home With My Sons
