When we explain the advantages of the FAIRtax to someone, they usually nod in approval and then ask, “What is the FAIRtax rate?” You tell them 23%. They ask, “Why so much?” You explain that 23% is necessary to bring in the same amount as the income/payroll tax. The FAIRtax is revenue neutral. But there is much more to the FAIRtax than it's rate.
