Whole body positivity is important for girls and women of all ages. Women diagnosed with breast cancer face important choices about their bodies that can impact how they look and feel. In her book, "Flat as a Pancake," Lisa Konstadt discusses her breast cancer diagnosis and decision to have a bilateral mastectomy without reconstruction. Though her doctors questioned her choice to go flat saying she could be "emotionally affected," Lisa says her decision helped her gain a stronger sense of self.
