Meredith and KJ have found some friends-Julia and Jordan are back as John abandons his children as they search for a way to save Dean’s life. Meredith brings us our weekly X-Files reference guide and teams up with Jordan to create a new segment on the podcast to where they nominate characters to take the place of characters brought back in season 4 episode 2 who should feel wronged by the Winchesters. The group speculates that the wise, gentle Layla Rourke is living a happier life than the episode implies. And Julia has a shocking theory regarding heavenly intervention even as early as season one in the show’s run.
CW Episode description: While battling a Rawhead, Dean is electrocuted, resulting in permanent damage to his heart and leaving him with only a couple of months to live. A despondent Sam searches desperately for a way to save his brother and believes he may have found an answer through a preacher who claims to heal the incurable. However, Dean and Sam discover that the preacher is getting help from the Grim Reaper who is trading one life for another he feels is less worthy.
