N8 was born in Brooklyn, NY in October as an 80's baby. This artist, rapper, poet, songwriter and producer says he was creatively inspired by Bob Marley, Anita Baker, and a variety of other R & B artists, which explains why he is so versatile as an emcee. He first came on the scene as one third of the local DMV hip-hop trio, LPF (Liberated People's Foundation). After several small successes, like being the opening act for major recording artists like Talib Kweli,Raheem Devaughn and Wale,to name a few, his group was almost signed to a subsidiary of Def Jam Island Records, right before the group disbanded in 2006. N8 continued to find his place in music. His clever wordplay & delivery always surfaced with a positive message for all, & after committing all of his talents to his strong faith-life and love for GOD (or YAH as he calls Him), he became what many would call a "gospel" artist. When N8 is asked if he's a gospel artist, he often says "I don't label myself a gospel artist. I let other people do that since I don't agree with labels. I just make music about life as I see it. And it just so happens that my faith in Yeshua is remaking me in His own image, and I serve poeple by giving them me, as I am. Life, is the gospel"
