Short show to make space for our president-elect, Joe Biden, and his vice-president, Kamala Harris, to give their victory speeches. But we're here, celebrating, along with you.
Joy is in short supply... and I'm glad to share it with you.

Awwww... what a great story, Tyson. It's really hard to explain to men, particularly white men, what this means for young women. It's.... life changing.

The first election I remember was 1984, when my parents took me to an election party where everyone was depressed because they knew Reagan was going to win. Geraldine Ferraro was the first vice-presidental nominee. Now, 36 years later, my daughter is the same age I was and tonight she got to see Kamala Harris elected as the first Vice President.

Today, just to put salt in his wound, Newsom said he's actually going to make the loser of the election decide who our next senator is. It's just that agonizing of a decision.

Newsom was asked a couple days ago about picking a replacement for Kamala Harris, and said he "wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy."

The Four Seasons thing was just such a perfectly farcical counterpoint.

Yes, that lady is great. I thanked her a while ago, saying it was nice to know we weren't crazy. She said, "And that we're not alone."

Yeah... that's the harder job, winning that war. But I have hope, especially after today.

There is a lady on Crest who has been putting anti-you-know-who signs in her window for the last four years. Today I walked by, and her sign said, "Oh what a relief it is!!"
