Jim Pepper was a jazz saxophonist who grew up in Portland. He incorporated his Native American traditions into his jazz compositions, and one of his songs even broke the top 40’s charts. Artists Rep Theater is holding a listening session tomorrow night, led by musician David Ornette Cherry, remembering the life and music of Jim Pepper.
