A few weeks ago Crook County leaders voted unanimously in favor of a plan that aims to give locals more say in the way federal lands are managed. The Natural Resource Policy favors private property interests and extractive uses of public lands. Some residents feel the policy is too narrowly focused and does not represent the diverse interests of the community. Crook County Judge, Seth Crawford, and Michelle McSwain of the Ochoco Forest Restoration Collaborative, join us.
