Leslie and callers discuss how women in the U.S. have less gender equity than women in many less developed countries, according to statistics cited in a new report by CNN's Jessica Ravitz.

Here are some of the most notable statistics from the story entitled "Women in the world: Where the U.S. falters in quest for equality":
A. "Mothers of newborns are guaranteed paid leave in 188 countries, only nine countries do not. Guess which one is among them? The United States."
B. "When it comes to paychecks, the United States ranks 65th in wage equality for similar work."
C. "The U.S. Congress ranks in the bottom half of national parliaments around the world when it comes to female members."
D. "There are 197 constitutions across the globe, and 165 of them -- or about 84% -- explicitly guarantee gender equality. The United States is not one of them."
