In 2019, the Parkinson’s Foundation launched NEWLY DIAGNOSED: Building a Better Life with Parkinson's Disease, a new campaign designed to arm people who are newly diagnosed with the knowledge, tools, and resources they need to navigate life with Parkinson’s disease. The goal of the newly diagnosed program is to close the gap between being newly diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease and knowing where and how to find the right information and resources to live the best life possible with Parkinson’s. In fact, a Parkinson’s Foundation survey found nearly 50% of people with Parkinson’s and their care partners leave the doctor’s office following a diagnosis without educational resources or information on what the future holds.
