Is the story of the Rich man and Lazarus a teaching on hell, or is it much more in a broader context? If you have only heard the meaning of this story from Luke 16:19-31, then it is our position that you have never fully understood what Jesus is talking about here. This is just a part of a conversation that Jesus is having, and to gain understanding we must start at the beginning of the conversation in Luke 15:1. Let's dive in and find out why this is a parable, and why the Bible does not teach the lost will burn forever.
