I agree Lewis, White people tend to see to the"offended" native american or minority group, and overlook the reason for the "offendedness", not considering someones emotinal response as the result of (insideous) oppression. white Americans (again, speaking generally) are too wrapped up in themselves to recognise the validity or etiology of one feeling offended.
