Dustin has been investigating the paranormal for more than 20 years and has been interested in the field since he was a child. He has been a regular on Ghost Hunters, appearing in over 7 seasons of programming on SyFy. He was also a lead investigator on Ghost Hunters International for 2 seasons before leaving television to return home to his family. Dustin has also appeared on Destination Truth, and Anderson Cooper's talk show.

Dustin has co-authored two paranormal books along with Barry Fitzgerald, and he currently has a new book coming out, this one a motivational biography of sorts.

Dustin spends a lot of time working not only in the paranormal field, but also as a motivational speaker, and he also works in Christian ministry.

Recently Dustin has returned to Ghost Hunters to film with them in their tenth season.
