Welcome to Day 1687 of our Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me.This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to WisdomAiring Opinions – Daily WisdomWelcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. We are on a daily trek to create a legacy of wisdom, seek out discernment and insights, and boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before. Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on today’s trek as we increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs%2016%3A16andversion=NLT (Proverbs 16:16) How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver! We are on Day 1687 of our Trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote along with some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek. If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget:
Today’s quote is from Proverbs 18:2, and it is: Fools have no interest in understanding;
they only want to air their own opinions.
Airing Opinions
To think that a proverb King Solomon wrote nearly 4,000 years ago would be so relevant to our online social media world today is impressive. It is a testament to the enduring lessons from God’s Word. But, of course, Solomon also wrote in another book of the Bible, https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ecclesiastes%201%3A9andversion=NLT (Ecclesiastes 1:9) History merely repeats itself. It has all been done before. Nothing under the sun is truly new. Yet, so many persons today find a bully pulpit online where they delight in airing their opinions. It is evident from most arguments' absurdity, from people on all parts of the political and religious spectrum, that those who do so find no pleasure in understanding others or the topics that they are pontificating about. There is so much misinformation that flows through the news media and social media today that it is challenging to discern the truth. Politicians are corrupt and lie, news anchors no longer are ethical in their journalism, and a horde of self-proclaimed experts online spew verbal vomit continuously. That is why we need to focus on God’s Word. It not only contains truth; it is truth. When you don’t know who to believe, it is time to back away from the information you are receiving elsewhere, and dig into God’s Word for good news that will impact your life positively.

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs%2030%3A4%2D6andversion=NLT (Proverbs 30:4-6)
Who but God goes up to heaven and comes back down?
Who holds the wind in his fists?
Who wraps up the oceans in his cloak?
Who has created the whole wide world?
What is his name—and his son’s name?
Tell me if you know!
Every word of God proves true.
He is a shield to all who come to him for protection.
Do not add to his words,
or he may rebuke you and expose you as a liar.
