Welcome to Day 1525 of our Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me.This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to WisdomCheck Your Attitude – Wisdom UnpluggedWisdom - the final frontier to true knowledge. Welcome to Wisdom-Trek! Where our mission is to create a legacy of wisdom, to seek out discernment and insights, to boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before. Hello, my friend; I am Guthrie Chamberlain, your captain on our journey to increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy. Thank you for joining us today as we explore wisdom on our 2nd millennium of podcasts. This is Day 1525 of our Trek, and it is time for our 3-minute mini trek called Wisdom Unplugged. This short nugget of wisdom includes an inspirational quote with a little bit of additional content for today’s trek. Consider this your vitamin supplement of wisdom for today. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget:
Today’s quote is from William James, and it is: It is our attitude at the beginning of a difficult task which, more than anything else, will affect its successful outcome.
Check Your Attitude
Everyone wants to know the secret of success in all areas of life, and it would be great if, indeed, there was a secret to being successful. Let me state an irrefutable truth; there is no secret to success. Yes, there are occasional fortunate circumstances that can expedite your success, but only if you are prepared to take advantage of those opportunities. One way to prepare for success is to check your attitude at the beginning of a difficult task. When you have a positive attitude, you train your mind to take advantage of the opportunities before you, regardless of their difficulties. Your attitude in life is probably the most critical single factor to ensure success. Yes, you need to prepare and gain the skills needed for success, but your success chances will certainly be limited if you do not have a positive attitude. So the recipe for success is this: check your attitude, be prepared, seek opportunities, then mix all of that with a healthy dose of hard work and perseverance.

Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do.
