The Human Connection – Wisdom Unplugged

Wisdom - the final frontier to true knowledge.  Welcome to Wisdom-Trek! Our mission is to create a legacy of wisdom, to seek out discernment and insights, to boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before. Hello, my friend, I am Guthrie Chamberlain, your captain on our journey to increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy.  Thank you for joining us today as we explore wisdom on our 2nd millennium of podcasts. This is Day 1005 of our Trek, and it is time for our 3-minute mini trek called Wisdom Unplugged.  This short nugget of wisdom includes an inspirational quote with a little bit of additional content for today’s trek.  Consider this your vitamin supplement of wisdom for today.  So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget:

Today’s quote is from Paul J. Meyer and it is:  Communication — the human connection — is the key to personal and career success.
The Human Connection
So many of our problems in the world today are caused by a lack of true communication between one another in a face to face setting.  It is so easy to become inflamed and spout our opinions as facts when indeed we do not have all of the facts.  It is so easy to judge and malign others when we don’t really understand what another person may be going through.  If we want to be successful in all areas of our personal lives, in ministry, and in our professional lives, we must realize that all areas of our lives impact and affect each other and there is no separation between them.  We must be willing to communicate with others face to face.  To seek to understand before we insist on being understood ourselves.  Unless we are willing to walk in another person's shoes and experience what they are experiencing, then we will never be able to fully understand them.   It is when we walk beside someone else, hand in hand, that we can communicate with them and understand them.  Communication requires a dialog where we listen to each other, where we encourage one another, where we accept one another, even if we do not always fully agree with each other.  It is then that we will experience success. The human connection reminds me of Hebrews 10:23-25 Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.  And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

That’s a wrap for today’s Wisdom Unplugged quote. If you would like free access to my database of over 10,000 inspirational quotes the link is available on the main page of Wisdom-Trek.com.  Just as you enjoy these nuggets of wisdom, encourage your friends and family to join us and then come along tomorrow for another day of ‘Wisdom-Trek, Creating a Legacy.'
