Rejoice! Barbados has hit the ejector button on QEII, announcing its intention to remove the Queen as head of state and become a republic next year. The Queen’s got plenty of other things to worry about in the meantime, from Prince Andrew’s role in Prince Philip’s 100th birthday celebrations to her husband’s desperate escape to Sandringham after lockdown. But she took the time to issue a statement in support of Kate Middleton’s Hold Still exhibition, though Kate herself couldn’t take the time to make an appearance for the launch.
