Joshua needed guidance as he faced was taking over for Moses, to leave the children of Israel through the desert into the promised land.

The Lord had promised him success, but he needed specific reassurances that God was with him. So starting at verse one the Lord gave clear direction to Joshua.

Moses My servant is dead. So now arise take his place, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, into the land which I am giving to them, the Israelites. Every place upon which the sole of your foot shall tread, that have I given to you, as I promised Moses. From the wilderness and this Lebanon to the great river Euphrates–all the land of the Hittites Canaan–and to the Great Mediterranean Sea on the west shall be your territory.

The Lord's reassurance to Joshua is your reassurance of a following God's clear direction:

No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will not fail you or forsake you.
Be strong confident and of good courage, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land which I swore to their fathers to give them..

Only you be strong and very courageous, that you may do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you. Turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.

Have not I commanded you? Be strong, vigorous, and very courageous. Be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

In confusing times like this, it's good to remember three Blessings of benefiting from God's Clear instructions. You receive:

1. – Faith to Believe the Lord
God knew that we would struggle with unbelief and has spoken reassuring words to us through the Bible. Thank God continually for this, that when you received (accepted) the Word (Message) of God which you heard, you welcomed it not as the word of mere men, but as it truly is, the Word of God, which is effectually at work in you who believe, exercising its superhuman power in those who adhere to and trust in and rely on it. ‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭2:13‬‬

2. – Courage to Do What God Desires

God gives you the desire to obey Him.

He says to yiu my dear ones, as you obey my Divine Suggestions with enthusiasm knowing I the LORD am ALWays with you, work out, carry out to Completion, your own salvation with reverence and awe and trembling, that is with self-distrust, with serious caution, tenderness of conscience, watchfulness against temptation, timidly shrinking from whatever might offend God and discredit the name of Christ. Philippians ‭2:12‬

And This is Not Done in your own strength; for it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you, energizing and creating in you the power and desire, both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight.

The Spirit of the Lord clothes you with Himself and And Fille you with Courage
‭‭Judges‬ ‭6:34‬ ‬

The Lord Speaks to You As He Did His Disciples on the Boat being tossed and beaten the waves, He says to you: Take courage! I AM Here! Stop being afraid! Exod 3:14, Matthew ‭14:27‬ .

The LORD Himself Is Your Courage, Because It's Not You, BUT CHRIST Who is living in you and through you who steals the waters of your life. In the spirit of God gives you the courage to obey those things that please God.

3. – Trust in God's timing.

When God gives us clear instruction through His Word or His Spirit within us, your response to God’s Holy Spirit Stirring shows how much you trust Him.

If you truly believe God and His promises, God will give you the power and desire both to have courage and to obey him. And he will give you Victory in Any Area Stroke You Face, When You Act upon His Divine Persuasion and Follow His Directions for Your Life.

Remember, your heavenly father knows those things you have need of even before you ask him. Matthew 6:8.
