Why did Tangia and Maribel choose this theme? "Latine Heritage Month (pronounced la-tee-neh) is a perfect time to dismantle the stereotypes that underscore the Latine experience in America. We're illustrating not only contributions made by Latine people, but also the rich tapestry of culture, thought, and experiences.

We also feel it's important that we use this time to go beyond the basic knowledge that non-Latine people might have about Latine culture. We want this listening experience to provoke thought and curiosity, and to combat stereotypes or superficial understandings."
