Joining us is Sammy McDonald, Assistant Coach for the Albury-Wodonga Bandits, coaching and training alongside legend Lauren 'LJ' Jackson in her phenomenal return from retirement to play in her fifth World Cup Campaign... 12 years since her last foray in a World Cup. Simply amazing.
We talk about the exciting mix of talent, with some young up and comers, and many seasoned veterans of international tournaments and experience in both WNBA and Euroleague.
With only 40 days until the FIBA Womens World Cup in Sydney the excitement is building. The Opals have had quite the journey since the disappointment at the Tokyo Olympics and have a fire in their belly as well as the anchor of the legendary LJ. There is alot of anticipation for the Sydney World Cup with 12 of the best Womens Hoops teams in the world coming together.
