Salmos 5:1‭-‬12 RVA2015:
Escucha, oh SEÑOR, mis palabras; considera mi suspiro. Atiende a la voz de mi clamor, Rey mío y Dios mío, porque a ti oraré. Oh SEÑOR, de mañana oirás mi voz; de mañana me presentaré ante ti y esperaré. Porque tú no eres un Dios que se complace en la perversidad; la maldad no habitará junto a ti. Los arrogantes no se presentarán ante tus ojos; aborreces a los que obran iniquidad. Destruirás a los que hablan mentira; al hombre sanguinario y engañador abomina el SEÑOR. Pero yo, por la abundancia de tu gracia, entraré en tu casa y en tu temor me postraré hacia tu santo templo. Guíame, oh SEÑOR, en tu justicia a causa de mis enemigos. Endereza tu camino delante de mí. Porque no hay sinceridad en su boca; sus entrañas están llenas de destrucción. Su garganta es un sepulcro abierto, y con su lengua hablan lisonjas. Decláralos culpables, oh Dios; caigan por sus propios consejos. Échalos por la multitud de sus rebeliones, porque se rebelaron contra ti. Se alegrarán todos los que confían en ti; para siempre gritarán de júbilo, pues tú los proteges. Los que aman tu nombre se regocijarán en ti, porque tú, oh SEÑOR, bendecirás al justo; como un escudo lo rodearás con tu favor.


El salmista escribe un salmo similar al de ayer. Este es otro salmo suplicando la protección y justicia de Dios en medio de los ataques de los enemigos, queriéndolo destruir con actitudes malignas. El salmista pide al Señor tomar cartas en el asunto, trayendo destrucción a aquellos que no tienen temor de Dios y que actúan vilmente.
A pesar de la adversidad que está sufriendo, a la misma vez él tiene una confianza plena en el Señor. Él confirma con total convicción de que Dios escucha la oración del justo y castiga las acciones del malo. Su confianza es tan grande que él sabe que pronto va a presentarse delante de Dios en su templo y lo hará con confianza porque él es un fiel seguidor del Señor.

El día de hoy observamos un detalle de esta oración, de este cántico, donde el escritor le declara al Señor que lo va a buscar temprano en la mañana. La oración matutina es importante porque se le está demostrando a Dios lo importante que es Él, porque las cosas que son prioritarias e importantes suelen hacerse a primera hora del día. En este caso, el escritor está dispuesto a venir ante la presencia del Señor a pesar de que está pasando por momentos de tribulación, preocupaciones y peligros.
Así como dice el dicho popular: "al que madruga Dios le ayuda” (aclaro que este dicho no es un verso que se encuentre en la Biblia); está comprobado que lo que uno se propone hacer a primeras horas del día, usualmente termina realizándose. También está comprobado que nuestro espíritu se conecta fácilmente con Dios cuando clamamos a Dios, poniéndolo a Él de prioridad, dedicándole las primeras horas del día para estar delante de su presencia antes de iniciar la jornada cotidiana. Porque nuestra mente está más despejada sin iniciar alguna actividad que nos distraiga o añada más preocupaciones, y que las primeras fuerzas que vamos a gastar que sean para postrarse delante de Dios para agradecerle por este hermoso día, por todas las cosas que ha hecho por ti, y por las que hará en ese día y en los venideros.

Existen algunos estudios de encuestas que se le han hecho a personas que han tenido algún éxito en la vida como emprendedores o inventores. Una de las características en común de todos estos personajes es que tienen alguna clase de ritual en la mañana, donde sacan un tiempo para meditar y escribir o pensar entre 3 a 10 cosas por las que están agradecidos en ese día que se han levantado.
Te animo para que hagas el mismo ejercicio. En las mañanas clama a Dios para agradecerle por las cosas que ha hecho por ti y después pon tu necesidad, exponiendo tu petición delante de Dios con un corazón agradecido y confiando en Él.

Considera:
Cuando te levantas, ¿qué es lo primero en lo que piensas: en los problemas que no has podido resolver o en la bendición de haber despertado y estar vivo?
¿De qué estás agradecido el día de hoy?
¿Dejaste tus preocupaciones en la presencia de Dios esta mañana o te las llevaste a tu casa o a tu lugar de trabajo o de estudio?

September 20: In busy times, meditate in the morning.

Psalms 5:1-12:
Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation. Give heed to the voice of my cry, my King and my God, for to You I will pray. my voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning I will direct it to You,
And I will look up.
For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness, nor shall evil dwell with You. The boastful shall not stand in Your sight; You hate all workers of iniquity. You shall destroy those who speak falsehood; the Lord abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man. But as for me, I will come into Your house in the multitude of Your mercy; in fear of You I will worship toward Your holy temple. Lead me, O Lord, in Your righteousness because of my enemies; make Your way straight before my face. For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is destruction; their throat is an open tomb; they flatter with their tongue. Pronounce them guilty, O God! Let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions, for they have rebelled against You.
But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; let those also who love Your name be joyful in You. For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield.


The psalmist writes a psalm similar to yesterday's. This is another psalm pleading for God's protection and justice in the midst of enemies' attacks, wanting to destroy him with evil attitudes. The psalmist asks the Lord to take action on the matter, bringing destruction to those who are not afraid of God and who act vile.
Despite the adversity he is suffering, at the same time he has full confidence in the Lord. He confirms with total conviction that God hears the prayer of the righteous and punishes the actions of the wicked. His confidence is so great that he knows that he will soon present himself before God in His temple and he will do it with confidence because he is a faithful follower of the Lord.

Today we observe a detail of this prayer, of this song, where the writer declares to the Lord that he is going to look for Him early in the morning. Morning prayer is important because it shows God how important He is, because the things that are priority and important are usually done first thing in the day. In this case, the writer is willing to come into the presence of the Lord even though he is going through times of tribulation, worry and danger.
As the popular saying goes: "God helps those who get up early" (I clarify that this saying is not a verse found in the Bible); it is proven that what one sets out to do in the early hours of the day, usually ends up being done. It is also proven that our spirit connects easily with God when we cry out to God, putting Him as a priority, dedicating the first hours of the day to be in His presence before starting the working day. Because our mind is clearer without starting any activity that distracts us or adds more worries, and that the first forces that we are going to expend are to prostrate before God to thank Him for this beautiful day, for all the things He has done for you, and for the what He will do on that day and in the days to come.

There are some survey studies that have been done to people who have had some success in life as entrepreneurs or inventors. One of the characteristics in common of all these characters is that they have some kind of ritual in the morning, where they take time to meditate and write or think between 3 to 10 things for which they are grateful on that day that they have gotten up.
I encourage you to do the same exercise. In the morning cry out to God to thank Him for the things He has done for you and then put your need, exposing your petition before God with a grateful heart and trusting in Him.

When you wake up, what is the first thing you think of: the problems you have not been able to solve or the blessing of having awakened and being alive?
What are you grateful for today?
Did you leave your worries in the presence of God this morning or did you take them to home or your place of work or study?
