Octubre 19: Protección garantizada.

Salmos 34:1‭-‬22 RVA2015:
Bendeciré al SEÑOR en todo tiempo; su alabanza estará siempre en mi boca. En el SEÑOR se gloriará mi alma; lo oirán los mansos y se alegrarán. Engrandezcan al SEÑOR conmigo; ensalcemos juntos su nombre. Yo busqué al SEÑOR, y él me oyó y de todos mis temores me libró. Los que a él miran son iluminados; sus rostros no serán avergonzados. Este pobre clamó, y el SEÑOR le escuchó y lo libró de todas sus angustias. El ángel del SEÑOR acampa en derredor de los que le temen, y los libra. Prueben y vean que el SEÑOR es bueno. ¡Bienaventurado el hombre que se refugia en él! Teman al SEÑOR, ustedes sus santos, porque nada falta a los que le temen. Los leones tienen necesidades y sufren hambre, pero los que buscan al SEÑOR no tendrán falta de ningún bien. Vengan, oh hijos, escuchen; el temor del SEÑOR les enseñaré: ¿Quién es el hombre que desea vida? ¿Quién anhela años para ver el bien? Guarda tu lengua del mal, y tus labios de hablar engaño. Apártate del mal y haz el bien; busca la paz y síguela. Los ojos del SEÑOR están sobre los justos; sus oídos están atentos a su clamor. El rostro del SEÑOR está contra los que hacen mal para cortar de la tierra su memoria. Clamaron los justos, y el SEÑOR los oyó; los libró de todas sus angustias. Cercano está el SEÑOR a los quebrantados de corazón; él salvará a los contritos de espíritu. Muchos son los males del justo, pero de todos ellos lo librará el SEÑOR. Él guardará todos sus huesos; ni uno de ellos será quebrantado. Al impío le matará la maldad, y los que aborrecen al justo serán desolados. El SEÑOR redimirá el alma de sus siervos. No serán desolados cuantos confían en él.


Este salmo es muy hermoso y valioso para aprenderlo de memoria. Este es un salmo que te transmite mucha fe, pues declara la confianza plena en el Señor. Es una invitación para que avives la esperanza en Dios, para que disipes el temor, para que afirmes las promesas del Señor por medio del testimonio poderoso de David.
Este salmo fue creado después de que David estuviera al borde de una sentencia de muerte segura; cuando huía del rey Saúl y se refugió donde estaban los enemigos de Israel, los Filisteos; todos recordaron que ese era el famoso David, el que había derrotado al gigante. Entonces David tuvo miedo y tuvo una idea: actúo como un loco delante del rey de los filisteos. El rey al ver a David, lo expulsó de su presencia pensando que David había perdido la cordura.
Por eso David escribió este grandioso salmo, atribuyéndole al Señor esta idea que lo libró del mal.
Y es por eso que la invitación de David es para que probemos la bondad de Dios y miremos ¡qué bueno es el Señor! En el momento donde David sería avergonzado y sentenciado, Dios lo rodeó con su mano poderosa, Él dirigió a David para que saliera bien librado de la boca del lobo.

No podemos pasar por alto los principios que están en este salmo para el que quiera tener larga vida y ser bendecido: Cuida tus palabras de hablar mal y de engañar, apártate de lo malo, y busca fomentar y mantener la paz y la justicia.

Para terminar, recordemos que la persona que quiere vivir en justicia y verdad va a sufrir muchas tribulaciones y persecuciones pero el salmista garantiza que de todas ellas, el Señor lo va a librar; Él va a estar muy pendiente de socorrer a Sus hijos que claman a Él.

October 19: Protection guaranteed.

Psalm 34:1-22:
I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; the humble shall hear of it and be glad. Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together. I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces were not ashamed. This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them.
Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger; but those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing. Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord. Who is the man who desires life, and loves many days, that he may see good? Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking deceit. Depart from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry. The face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He guards all his bones; not one of them is broken. Evil shall slay the wicked, and those who hate the righteous shall be condemned. The Lord redeems the soul of His servants, and none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned.


This psalm is very beautiful and valuable to memorize. This is a psalm that gives you a lot of faith, as it declares the full trust in the Lord. It is an invitation to revive the hope in God, to dispel fear, to affirm the promises of the Lord through the powerful testimony of David.
This psalm was created after David was on the brink of a sentence of certain death; when he fled from king Saul and took refuge where the enemies of Israel were, the Philistines; everyone remembered that this was the famous David, the one who had defeated the giant. Then David was afraid and had an idea: he acted like a madman in front of the king of the Philistines. When the king saw David, he expelled him from his presence thinking that David had lost his sanity.
That is why David wrote this great psalm, attributing to the Lord this idea that freed and saved him from evil.
And that is why David's invitation is for us to try out the kindness of God and see how good the Lord is! At the moment where David would be ashamed and sentenced, God surrounded him with His mighty hand, He directed David to come out of the wolf's mouth safely.

We cannot ignore the principles that are in this psalm for those who want to live long and be blessed: Watch your words from speaking evil and deceiving, turn away from evil, and seek to promote and maintain peace and justice.

Finally, let us remember that the person who wants to live in justice and truth is going to suffer many tribulations and persecutions, but the psalmist guarantees that the Lord will free and save the person from all of them; He will be very aware of helping His children who cry out to Him.
