📖1 Juan 5:1‭-‬15 RVA2015:
Todo aquel que cree que Jesús es el Cristo es nacido de Dios, y todo aquel que ama al que engendró ama también al que es nacido de él. En esto sabemos que amamos a los hijos de Dios, cuando amamos a Dios y guardamos sus mandamientos. Pues este es el amor de Dios: que guardemos sus mandamientos. Y sus mandamientos no son gravosos. Porque todo lo que ha nacido de Dios vence al mundo; y esta es la victoria que ha vencido al mundo: nuestra fe. ¿Quién es el que vence al mundo sino el que cree que Jesús es el Hijo de Dios? Este es Jesucristo, el que vino por agua y sangre; no por agua solamente sino por agua y sangre. Y el Espíritu es el que da testimonio, porque el Espíritu es la verdad. Porque tres son los que dan testimonio: el Espíritu, el agua y la sangre; y estos tres concuerdan en uno. Si recibimos el testimonio de los hombres, el testimonio de Dios es mayor; porque este es el testimonio de Dios: que él ha dado testimonio acerca de su Hijo. El que cree en el Hijo de Dios tiene el testimonio en sí mismo; el que no cree a Dios lo ha hecho mentiroso porque no ha creído en el testimonio que Dios ha dado acerca de su Hijo. Y este es el testimonio: que Dios nos ha dado vida eterna, y esta vida está en su Hijo. El que tiene al Hijo tiene la vida; el que no tiene al Hijo de Dios no tiene la vida. Estas cosas les he escrito a ustedes que creen en el nombre del Hijo de Dios para que sepan que tienen vida eterna. Y esta es la confianza que tenemos delante de él: que si pedimos algo conforme a su voluntad, él nos oye. Y si sabemos que él nos oye en cualquier cosa que pidamos, sabemos que tenemos las peticiones que le hayamos hecho.

En este capítulo el apóstol Juan nos llena de confianza en el Señor y afirma nuestra fe.
Recordemos que la iglesia en ese tiempo, y todavía hasta este tiempo, en muchos lugares los cristianos sufren de diferentes niveles de persecución y ataques. Es por eso que el apóstol les recuerda y les enseña la grandeza de haber nacido de nuevo.
¡Cuando entregamos nuestra vida al Señor, obtenemos nuestra identidad como hijos de Dios! Ya no vivimos más en la esclavitud del pecado. Por eso no debemos perder la libertad que Cristo nos dio.
Si sientes deseos de pecar, necesitas y debes hacer morir tu naturaleza pasada.
Cuando desarrollas y creces en tu fe, obtienes la garantía de poder vencer al mundo.
Cuando sostienes firmemente tu fe, el enemigo no tiene potestad sobre ti; él ya no tiene autoridad sobre tu vida, tus decisiones, tu futuro. Él no tiene autoridad para controlar a tu familia porque tu fe en Jesucristo hace que Dios sea el centro de tu vida y de tu hogar.
Además, tienes el privilegio de entrar a la presencia del Señor con toda confianza, pues tienes todo el derecho como hijo de Dios para entrar en su presencia y experimentar su gloria.

En ese lugar glorioso puedes hacer cualquier petición y dejar todas tus necesidades a los pies del Señor. Si esa petición es conforme a la voluntad de Dios y no se sale de los propósitos del Señor, ¡ten la seguridad que el Señor te la va a conceder!
Tenemos de ejemplo a Salomón, quien tuvo la oportunidad de pedirle a Dios lo que deseara; un rey desea obtener riquezas, fama y poder, pero Salomón le pidió al Señor sabiduría para guiar a su pueblo y el Señor se agradó de eso. De la misma manera, el Señor mira la intención de tu corazón y la razón por la que estás pidiéndole en oración; y si has pedido de acuerdo a su divina y santa voluntad, Él te lo concederá.
Muchas veces como hijos queremos que las cosas se nos den inmediatamente, pero como hijos también debemos entender que nuestro Padre Celestial conoce mejor el tiempo y la forma en que nos va a conceder nuestras peticiones, también Él sabe lo que es mejor para nosotros.

Espero que este último capítulo de la primera carta haya elevado tu fe y te haya dado firmeza de tu identidad en Dios como hijo o hija del Rey de reyes y Señor de señores.

¿Crees que Dios puede conceder tu petición si pides conforme a su voluntad?

August 22: Overcoming the world!

1 John 5:1-15:
Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
This is He who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one.
If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; for this is the witness of God which He has testified of His Son. He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son. And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.
Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.


In this chapter the apostle John fills us with confidence in the Lord and affirms our faith.
Let’s remember that the church at that time, and still to this time, in many places the Christians suffer from different levels of persecution and attacks. That is why the apostle reminds them and teaches them the greatness of being born again.
When we surrender our lives to the Lord, we obtain our identity as children of God! We no longer live in the bondage to sin. That is why we must not lose the freedom that Christ gave us.
If you feel like sinning, you need and must put your past nature to death.
When you develop and grow in your faith, you get the guarantee of being able to overcome the world.
When you hold firmly your faith, the enemy has no power over you; he no longer has authority over your life, your decisions, your future. He has no authority to control your family because your faith in Jesus Christ makes God the center of your life and your home.
Furthermore, you have the privilege of entering the presence of the Lord with all confidence, because you have every right as a child of God to enter into His presence and experience His glory.

In that glorious place you can make any petition and leave all your needs at the feet of the Lord. If that petition is according to the will of God and does not depart from the Lord's purposes, rest assured that the Lord will grant it to you!
We have as an example Solomon, who had the opportunity to ask God for what he wanted; a king wishes to obtain gold, wealth, fame and power, but Solomon asked the Lord for wisdom to guide his people and the Lord was pleased with that. In the same way, the Lord looks at the intention of your heart and the reason why you are asking Him in prayer; and if you have asked according to His divine and holy will, He will grant it to you.
Many times as children we want things to be given to us immediately, but as children we must also understand that our Heavenly Father knows better the time and the way He will grant our requests, He also knows what is best for us.

I hope that this last chapter of the first letter has raised your faith and has given you firmness of your identity in God as son or daughter of the King of kings and Lord of lords.

Consider this:
Do you believe that God can grant your request if you ask according to His will?
