Valencia Callens Neptune is Founder & CEO of the independent record label and artist
development company, So Am I-Worthy. She’s a singer and songwriter who received a
Master’s of Music in Voice & Opera, and a Bachelor’s of Music in Voice & Performance. A
southern woman born and raised in Alabama, Valencia has dominated several world-class
stages including Charleston Gaillard Center, Jemison Concert Hall and the prestigious
Carnegie Hall; as well as international stages as a soloist for the UAB Concert Choir European
tour in 2014.
Awards received by Valencia include the Metropolitan Opera National Council Encouragement
Award, South Carolina District, and International Experience Award, Italian Language
Scholarship. However, Opera is not Valencia’s primary genre. She has been singing since the
age of eight in the genres of Gospel, Jazz and Contemporary Christian after the likes of
Yolanda Adams, Nikki Ross, Cece Winans, Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald, Natalie King Cole,
Whitney Houston, etc.
