All I want for Christmas is different for kids, adults, and someone in recovery. The fun of Santa and the sleigh is over and you just want to feel okay. Most kids want gifts, some kids just want their parents others are just so hurt they don't care.


Adults it's the most stressful time of the year, and a person struggling with recovery usually feels lost, confused, and like they are worthless or can't do anything right.


We can't always count on our old ways in a new season, we may need to find new ways to receive love, peace, and joy.


My old love was lust, my old peace came from drugs, and my old joy was based on self.


Maybe my new love will be life, my new peace the word, and my new joy is my hope. My old ways burned me up and left me as ash, so I always felt burned out and left as the trash.
