Creating microstock of small towns can still be profitable, even though the competition is growing, but you have to hurry up and work as a professional photographer.
In this episode I give some advice on what to do to monetize the content you upload on Pond5, Shutterstock, and Storyblocks. The best one is:
- producing stock footage instead of stock images
The others are:
- use a solar tracker to shoot subjects always with the sun on your back
- try to shoot more small towns in a single day to reduce your travel expenses
- use websites like keyword.io to understand what the most profitable subjects are
