How much do groceries cost in Portugal?
Portugal is known as a great place to live, not only because of it’s amazing weather but also the attractive low cost of living.
At this event, we will be comparing the cost of living for everyday grocery items available from the local supermarket. We will go shopping for milk, bread, wine, cheese, laundry detergent, fresh produce and more and then share with you how much it all cost.
The Expats Portugal team will also cook up some favourite family meals, with all ingredients purchased from the supermarket and share with you how much they cost to make. On the menu:
Spaghetti bolognese
Fresh salmon with potatoes and seasonal salad/vegetables
Homemade apple pie
We will share how much you could expect to spend for a household of 2 people or a family of 4 or more.
This event will be a bit of fun and open to everyone to participate – whether already living in Portugal or planning to move soon.
