The American Dream Movement is an organisation form with various grassroots group form the AFLCIO to MoveOn.org. Van Jones is the leader. The Tea Parties are a commericalised political club form by Washington lobbyist and professional GOP operatives with funding from likes of the Koch Brothers Inc. Their brand of patriotism is Anti-American. “The tea party has got technical dominance in their ability to put together a leaderless group that is in the political cloud, so to speak, and what [Jones] does is take the next step after that.” Van Jones would like to start his own version of the Tea Party.  The Left still also doesn’t get that there’s absolutely nothing stopping them from going to existing Tea Party groups and making their case that those groups should adopt the causes that the Left likes.  There’s quite a bit stopping the Left from succeeding, mind you - but that’s a different issue; the point is that as long as the Left keeps telling themselves that the other guys are somehow not authentic, the Left is going to keep messing up their imitations* Redstate “The tea party has got technical dominance in their ability to put together a leaderless group that is in the political cloud, so to speak, and what [Jones] does is take the next step after that.”Howard Dean
