TRUMP LAUNCHING SOCIAL MEDIA APP

President Donald Trump announced that he is launching his own social media app called: TRUTH social with the stated goal to "stand up to big tech" companies like Twitter and Facebook that silence voices on the right.

Trump said in a statement: "We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favorite American President has been silenced. This is unacceptable"

Thinking long-term: TRUTH social will be part of Trump's newly established Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG). And the social media app is just the first of three stages in his business plan:

The second stage is a subscription video-on-demand platform called TMTG+ for entertainment, news, and podcasts.

The third stage is a cloud service to compete with Amazon's AWS and Google Cloud.

This is very ambitious stuff for a guy who has no background in tech. But I guess you could have said the same when he ran for President.

After President Trump announced he was creating his own social media platform called Truth, keen investors started buying shares of the company Trump was merging with to develop the app, Digital World Acquisition Corp [DWAC]. DWAC started the day around $12 per share. when this was written it's currently sitting at $68 per share.

Trump may not be in the White House. Heck, he isn't even on Twitter. But he's still managing to Americans make a buck.

As Democrats (and a few useful idiot Republicans like Liz Cheney) continue their show-trial "investigation" of the "insurrection" that took place at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, former President Trump released a statement:
