Last year Whitney and Steven Phillips, married at the half way mark, Mile 13 of the Detroit Free Press/TCF Bank Marathon. This year they are running again, on Sunday Oct 20, wearing matching shirts alluding to their special marriage celebration, and will have a ‘First Anniversary Kiss’ at the halfway mark of the marathon. Whitney fought her way back from devastating injuries after a terrible accident. Even now, she has health issues, only recently have a pacemaker fitted, but nothing can stop her and Steve from running!
