Today is National Girls and Women in Sports Day. Only 40 percent of girls participate in sports, which seemed shocking, until we discovered the stat is the same for boys. Participating in sports is important, especially at the high school and youth levels. Sports teaches you life skills, pushes you academically and physically, and provides adversity in a way that even picking up a book can't. It's important for everyone, men, women, boys, and girls, to get involved. Today is also the second National Signing Day in college football.
