This episode, our main focus is Quentin's relationship with his father and the mystery of their history together as well as the involvement of Quentin's mother. His dad has a brain tumor, and Quentin decides that he's going to try to cure his dad with magic. It goes about as well as you'd expect.
Meanwhile, Julia is starting to spin wildly out of control, and for once I think that Pete and Marina did the right thing in wiping her boyfriend's mind. That relationship wasn't going anywhere good.
