Hello to all of you theydies and gentlethems, and welcome to the premiere episode of White Night. I'm your host Natasha, coming at you with the last episode ever recorded on my piece of shit old desktop. It's the end of an era. A slow, clunky, beach-bally era.
This episode, RoShawn and I talk about how we have some reservations about the fact that in some ways, this book feels like a step backward in terms of its treatment of female characters. We have the oh-so-original trope of women being targeted by a serial killer, a sexual aspect to their deaths, and then Molly the hot young woman just HAPPENS to be the one to actually experience an orgasm in front of the two men. Not a great start. RoShawn is willing to wait to come to any conclusions because Butcher has built up some goodwill by now, but he's gonna have to work extra-hard to get us on board.
