The reason I specify great hits by the defender is that it cheapens the play about a Defender to just call the fumble. Sometime the ball is lodged out by a great Punch or impacting the ball which should be given to the defender

Alex Collins may not get a lot of press. But he is more than serviceable. He has good speed and he never goes down with the first and second hit that's what you want out of a running back. Not to mention some of these so-called fumbles are just great hits by the defender

In the NFC Championship game between the Saints and Vikings....Favre had 2ints A.P had I fumble that was forced not loss.....next day....media concentrated on A.P not Favre game losing interception

I see how it got started now. Question is Brett Favre still a great quarterback even though he has just as many interceptions as touchdowns give or take? If the answer is yes then these so-called fumbling issues could not possibly be relevant. At least in the case of Adrian Peterson a proven star
