Pusan: A Life-Changing Journey

Story Transcript:
Ko: 항상 어머니의 고향을 방문하고 싶었던 소은이는 이제 대한민국 부산의 심장부인 이곳에 왔습니다.
En: So-eun had always wanted to visit her mother’s hometown and now here she was: in the heart of Pusan, South Korea.

Ko: 소은은 드디어 부산에 왔다는 사실이 믿기지 않았다.
En: So-eun couldn't believe she was finally in Pusan.

Ko: 그녀는 수년 동안 이 여행을 꿈꿔왔고 지금 여기에 있습니다.
En: She had been dreaming of this trip for years and now here she was.

Ko: 그리고 그녀는 처음으로 어머니의 가족을 만나려고 했습니다.
En: And she was about to meet her mother's family for the very first time.

Ko: 소은은 한국 앞바다에 있는 섬 제주에서 태어나고 자랐다.
En: So-eun was born and raised in Jeju, an island off the coast of South Korea.

En: Although she'd been away from home for years, she and her mother had kept in close contact.
