Over the years, Wesson collected bizarre beliefs and welded them together to create his own religious vision, which he imposed upon his family.
In what began as a routine domestic dispute call, police were summoned on March 12, 2004 to Wesson's house of horrors that stood at 761 Hammond Ave in Fresno, California. It was here that Marcus Wesson reigned supreme over his family, abusing them mentally, physically, emotionally and sexually. Nine bodies lay in a tangled pile on the bedroom floor. Marcus Wesson was the domineering patriarch of a large and incestuous clan.
