A few Edgar Cayce fun facts. He lived 1877-1945. Born and raised in Hopkinsville,KY. When he came out of his trance/channeling state, he could not rememberwhat he said. Therefore, he had a stenographer write down his sessions. The client got a copy and Cayce kept the carbon copy. Any future interactions with the client were filed with the reading. This is why he has the most researchable readings. He was in the heart of the bible belt, was Christian, and struggled with whether his gift was pure or of the devil. He feared being institutionalized. He decided he would do readings until he said something contrary to the bible (which he read cover to cover once a year). When past lives were revealed to a client, he freaked and stopped readings until his benefactors introduced him to other religions that embraced the concept and he was shown some bible verses that could be in reference to reincarnation. He began his journey reading people's bodies for health concerns. The person need not be present. He spoke in medical terms that he was not aware of when awake and he identified many medical procedures not in practice yet, including that blood could be tested to determine many imbalances. He channeled many different sources depending on the content/message. His readings are very much in the form of biblical language which he was accustomed to. The ARE (Association for Research and Enlightment) in Virginia Beach houses his readings. It was built as a hospital to carry out his nedical readings but closed after a few years due to the stock crash/losing benefactors. His guides told him to build/live there bc at the time, there was a high gold content in the beach sand that was great for his patients. His mainstay was 'Mind is the builder' and he spoke of our 'creative forces' within and oneness. He was also the father of healthy eating and relayed the importance of an alkaline diet, greens, etc. imagine how well that went over in his meat and potatoes tobacco farm community!
