On December 29, 1999 Ashley Freeman is celebrating her 16th birthday with her parents and best friend Lauria Bible at her home in Welch, Oklahoma. However the celebration was short lived because in the early morning hours of December 30, 1999, a call came into the local fire department that the Freeman's home was on fire. Once the fire had been extinguished police begin their search of the home, where they only locate Kathy Freeman, Ashley's mom. There is no trace of Danny Freeman (Ashley's father), Ashley or of Lauria Bible. The Medical Examiner determines that Kathy did not die in the house fire, but was shot prior to the fire.... but by who? And where were the other three people that were supposed to also be in the house that morning? They would have an answer pretty quickly as to the location of one more victim, but as for the two teenage girls, it would take nearly 20 years for this case to unfold.
