Rand and Mat arrive in Caemlyn. They quickly get mired in politics when Rand wraps his sword with Pro-Morgase cloth. We speculate on the cause of the discontentment in Caemlyn. Is a Forsaken stirring up trouble? The boys make their way to the Queens Blessing, where they are helped by Master Gill. He tells them the story of Thom's time with the Queen. We talk about Thom's assassination off Taringail, and how that may have soured the relationship between Thom and Morgase.
