In the same year that Lee Roy Martin was on his rampage, another serial killer would be born in Maryland by the name of Patrick Tracy Burris.
Little did the small town of Gaffney, South Carolina know that just 41 years after Martin's murders, another serial killer would take the lives of five innocent victims in just 6 short days in 2009.
Did he desperately need to fuel his kleptomania, or did he despise members of the church so much that he felt the need to target them?
Unfortunately we may never know because Patrick's life ended in a fury of bullets at the sight of an abandoned house in Mooresville, North Carolina when law enforcement responded to a call detailing an active burglary.
