Have you ever experienced any unusual things? Maybe you call them miracles or unexplained mysteries, or things people do not talk about? My life has been a series of mysteries. Some of them were so unusual that I didn't have any reference points to compare them. I kept those experiences in the back of my consciousness like a book I put back on the shelf to later pick up again.

To name here a few, who applied the brakes on my bike and prevented me from being hit by a sports car at age 11? Why am I just now getting more clarity about those moments of contact with extraterrestrials or inter-dimensional beings as a child, and why wouldn't my parents acknowledge my experiences? Why do some diseased people and animals I know come to me with messages? Why did my head turn to the left by itself just in time to see a spacecraft shoot into a 90-degree angle and disappear?

Everyone has their own unique experiences and life lessons learned. When I share what I have lived, it might inspire others to share their own stories or realize that it is possible and OK to talk about them.

Mieke Benton was born in 1970 in the city of Gent, Belgium. From a very young age, she had extraordinary experiences that others didn’t seem to talk or know about. Questions such as who am I and why am I here guided her on the path of alternative healing, geomancy, UFO investigations, inter-dimensional realities, consciousness expansion, mind control, universal awareness, and more. At age 27, through Divine intervention, she met Paul and his then three young children in an international alternative healing retreat in Breitenbush Hotsprings, Oregon. The many unexpected synchronicities did not make any logical sense to them, being from two different cultures and two different generations. Finally, they
couldn’t ignore those interventions any longer, and it became undoubtedly clear that they were meant to be together. Mieke moved with her Golden Retriever to Hood River, Oregon, to start their new life together. After they married, Paul and Mieke realized they had both extraterrestrial and other unusual experiences and felt guided to share their journeys and lessons learned with the world.

This week I'm talking to Julie Ann Tyso about her book 'Answers From The Other Side'.

What happens to us when we die? Does heaven really exist? If so, what does the afterlife look like? Although death happens to everyone eventually, we know little about the process and the only way that we can get answers is to talk to someone who is already there. Through channelled mediumship communication with a spirit called Battrick, this book attempts to answer some of those questions. The spirit world wants us to know that the essence of who we are does not die with our physical body. We are all spiritual beings having an earthly experience and the energy that is ‘us’ cannot be destroyed; this life is not all there is.

Julie Ann Tyso felt a connection with the spirit world from early childhood and knew instinctively that we are more than our physical bodies and that there was a spirit body within. She was always searching for answers: what happens when we die? What does the afterlife look like? Are we reborn? It took her a while to accept that she could remember past lives and that what she was seeing and hearing was in fact spiritual beings attempting to communicate with her and answer some of her questions.

Julie spent over 20 years working as an academic in a UK university and in such an evidence-based environment, it is not easy to tell colleagues that you are a medium. However, learning about the spirit world has been a lifelong passion and just the right teachers, books or experiences seemed to appear, as if by magic, to enhance that learning. Eventually the opportunity arose to leave traditional academia behind and see where the spirit world would take her.

The idea to channel a book directly from spirit came quite suddenly. She woke up one morning and felt compelled to sit at a computer and write. The speed at which the answers came helped to convince her that they were not coming from her subconscious but were being channelled from a spirit called Battrick. Through a question-and-answer session that took place over several months, Julie’s first book, “Answers from the Other Side”, was born.
