In this episode we continue studying the book of Revelation. In this episode John sees the river of life and the tree of life.

Yes, thanks to Jesus the Christ, death and banishment from paradise was not permanent, as originally seen in the book of Genesis. We once again have the opportunity to eat from the tree of life and live forever. Jesus really does make all things new!

New heavens, a new earth and new bodies, bodies made of flesh and bone instead of flesh and blood.

In our current state life comes from the blood, in our new state, at the resurrection, life will come from the spirit, God’s Holy Spirit. Only those who believe in Christ, receive His Spirit, they are the ones who will live again on a new earth, where there will be no sorrow, no pain, no death, no crying, no hatred, no oppression or suppression.

We look forward to the New Heaven and the New Earth, living in the beautiful kingdom of God, when Jesus will reign as king before our very eyes. Yet, the establishment of His kingdom is occurring now.

It began when Christ came to earth preaching, saying repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Jesus also made another important statement about God's kingdom, saying, in Luke chapter 17 verse 20.

Luke 17:20  And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

Luke 17:21  Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Yes, the kingdom of heaven is within us, we can begin to see the kingdom of heaven manifest on earth now. The time has come for us to possess the kingdom, to execute the written judgment, to see God’s kingdom expand on earth, he said the gates of hell will not prevail against the church but his servants must fight in this hour.

Not with carnal weapons but spiritual weapons. Paul, said our weapons of warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. The weapon is obedience to God's word.

We look forward to the New Jerusalem and a New Earth but until then we must be about our Father’s business. Jesus told us to occupy until he comes. Occupy means, to keep in possession; to possess; to hold or keep for use, to take up; to possess; to cover or fill, to employ; to busy one's self.

If we occupy until he comes, we won’t have to be ashamed to meet Him face to face when he comes.

In this final chapter, Jesus once again mentions those who will not be allowed to enter into his kingdom, He said:

Revelation 22:15  For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Dogs refer to those who profess Christ but are really antichrist. They are in the church but deny Christ in word and deeds. They follow and teach the traditions of men over the word of God.

Psalms 22:16  says, "For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet."

Make no mistake about it the dogs are powerful. But Jesus is more powerful than they are. And he has declared he will contend with those who contend with us. And has said, no man shall pluck any of us out of his hand.

We will not bow down to the spirit of the antichrist, because we know the true Christ. We believe every word he has spoken and therefore adhere to God's commandments, because He said in Revelation chapter 22 verse 14:

Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
