In this episode we continue studying the book of Revelation. In chapter 11 John is given a rod to measure the temple, the altar and the worshippers but told not to measure the outer court.

Is he told to measure the worshippers in the temple, near the altar, to determine if they are worshipping God in spirit and truth? Are they worshipping God with their mouths while their hearts are far from Him?

We note that after they are measured, true worshippers will be given power to be God's witnesses on earth in the power of the Holy Spirit. Performing miracles like Moses and Aaron and Elijah and Elisha.

We also note that God will call on heaven and earth as witnesses as seen in the following text:

In Deuteronomy 4:26 God said,   I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it; ye shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed.

Deuteronomy 31:28 says,  Gather unto me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speak these words in their ears, and call heaven and earth to record against them.

In Deuteronomy 30:19, God said,  I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.

God required witnesses to be the first to cast stones.

Deuteronomy 17:7  The hands of the witnesses shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterward the hands of all the people. So thou shalt put the evil away from among you.

So, while heaven and earth are casting stones, the saints of God will start pointing to the signs, the earthquakes, the flooding and diseases. They will start telling people to repent to receive times of refreshing. Like Moses and Aaron, Elijah and Elisha the saints of God will work various miracles as signs to the world that Jehovah is God and beside him there is no other god. They will preach repentance and encourage people to stop sinning, less worse things come upon them. (John 5:14).
