A Classic Brit-Pop album that wasn't REALLY a Brit Pop album is under the microscope on this episode of the XS Long Player as Jim chats to Rick McMurray about Ash's 1996 album 1977!
Rick talks about the album's influences, playing those songs live 25 years on from its release and that classic Tie Fighter intro (that George Lucas MAY still not know about). He also discusses the origins of that infamous hidden track "Sick Party" at the end of the album.
1977 was released on Infectious records and contains classic tunes such as "Goldfinger", "Girl from Mars" and "Kung Fu"... its a certified banger!
