In this episode, I discuss Docks, Sorrels and much more. These are delicious and nutritious greens that are powerfully medicinal. They are especially good for the liver, stomach and skin. Like dandelions, they are considered to be weeds and are very common. I also discuss recipes, government incompetence, tomatoes, snakes, politicians and doctors.

Hi there Justin. Just wnated to let you know I found this a very interesting podcast. I think up in the Appallachians you have such a wonderful opportunity to gather such interesting herbs. I am from Australia so we do not see any of the wonderful herbs you see and grow. I also wanted to mention Nurse Cassie of the famous Essica tea. Many years ago I do recall reading what happened with her. I believe she worked as a nurse was it in the Civil War. She was stationed somewhere close to where there were Indians lived. Story went that she became friendly with some of them and they gave her the remedy for Essiac Tea. While nursing she came across many soldiers with cancer. Now I would question that what they called cancer then and waht we call it now are probably two different things, because they were probably suffering a break down of their health that presented as something that they had no other name for back in the day. Especially when there would not have been any real nutrition available to them and they were most likely living on dried up pork belly or the like. While we have all types of dreadful radiation etc all around us. Anyway Nurse Cassie had such marvellous success that she asked if the government could help her set up a cancer hospital, which they agreed to do. It was a big old house really as they all were in those days. Well unfortunately that was when I suspect old Rockerfeller decidede he wanted done with herbalists and homeopaths and started paying for doctors to get their degrees, but that meant that they went to his schools where they only taught about pharmaceuticals. We all know haow that story goes unfortunately. So to close her down they argued that she did not cure 100% of her patients. Out of however many patients she had 1 died. And that 1 that died had come to her way to late to ever be saved. That was the true story too as it was an article out of the oldest newspaper from. memory that even had a photo of the hosue she used as a hospital. is that not shocking? She also fought the governemnt for many years but to no avail. Now I also recall reading that the sorrell that is used in the cure these days is not right. You need to use all the roots and then some from the plant whereas now people incorrectly sell the just the plant. I will also say this: I do bleiev it is the Turkey Rhubarb that acts as an antiparasitic as well as a bowel cleanser. So if you consider that where there is cancer there are parasites, it goes a long way in explaing how it does it's job. If the bowel is not cleansed then there is no use usiung the other herbs. Burdock would cleanse the. lood am I right and help cleanse the liver, again getting the antiparasitic to where it is most needed. Anyway I hope yo enjoyed reading that Nurse Cassie story Justin as much I enjoyed listening to your soreel and dock story. My best regards to you. Tracy
